Experienced Umbrella/Agency Payroll Support Executive.
The Role
This is a varied role in a cloud payroll software business which has several accounting intermediary customers, all focused on the temporary labour and Umbrella market. The role will involve providing “level 2” system support for payroll and accounting clients, Implementation and configuration support at client sites, as well as taking responsibility for internal staff training and technical content creation. Longer term, the aim is for the software to become the ‘software of choice’ for those operating payrolls in the gig economy.
Principal Responsibilities will be to support the customer success manager and the wider My Digital team in bringing accurate, timely, quality support to our customers by:
• Dealing with complex technical payroll and accounting queries from clients
• Being an internal expert in complex payroll matters relating to temporary employment
• Supporting the Customer success manager in creating varied and engaging content by using their ability to take complex technical information and transform it into user friendly mediums for both internal staff training and customer support purposes.
• Assisting client implementations including business analysis, data migration and training.
This is a hands on and varied role in a fast growing software business. The role will be demanding and will suit someone looking for a career in accountancy and payroll with a twist. You will:
• be intelligent with a pragmatic approach to problem solving (a grade A or similar in GCSE maths is a requirement)
• be qualified, either formally or experience, in weekly umbrella payroll operation
• have a comprehensive knowledge of payroll: including holiday pay, attachment of earnings, pensions, taxes and national insurance
• Patient and enjoy being the go-to person for complex questions
• be able to, and enjoy, working very well under pressure
• have a track record of managing and handling payroll queries on a large scale
• be able to use initiative and work independently
• be detail and actioned orientated; results focused; have excellent communication and a demonstrable appetite for delivering results
• have experience answering client telephone enquiries and / or queries
• Fiercely ambitious
