Business Analyst/ Accountant, ACA, AAT, ACCA - Software Implementation - Cheshire.
Launched in 2015 and now rapidly expanding, our client produces and implements smart, cloud-based accounting software engineered to keep things simple for Accountants and Accounting providers in the complex world of the taxation of temporary workers. With a unique focus on the contractor and temporary worker market, the client provides market leading tools to support the calculation of complicated IR35 assignments, whilst still maintaining the simplicity and flexibility required to manage customer accounts. Your Role As Accounting Business Analyst, you will have a hands-on role in gathering requirements from Customers and, as importantly, potential customers as well as identifying functionality gaps vs our competitors. Your success will be determined by your ability to create relationships with target clients, deliver compelling software demos and, ultimately, implement the product and replace incumbent software. As part of the role, you will be required to engage with and challenge our development teams to find the best solution possible. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, co-ordinating with internal and external stakeholders in the UK, the development teams in India and authoring and maintaining Development ‘stories’ in Jira. With a methodical approach to problem solving you will play a leading role in analysing user requirements from customers, colleagues and legislative changes - drawing on your experience of the product and you will bale to readily articulate our USPs, drawing on comparisons with our competitors.
You will be:
• A qualified or part qualified accountant who is engaging and keen to learn (AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Experienced in operating in the temporary labour market as a PSC accountant
• Unlike most accountants, you will be gregarious with an appetite for constructing relationships

• ensuring that our products are compliant with the relevant legislation

• A good Knowledge of accounting and taxation principles
• Willing to travel to customers and potential customers • An appetite to learn from and analyse competitors
• Experienced at using Limited Company accounting packages such as Freeagent, Xero and Just Accounts
• Ability to identify and assess risks, problems and issues
• Curiosity into technology and streamlining of existing business processes Desirable
• Knowledge of the contractor and temporary worker market – practical experience of payroll and IR35 preferred
• Experience delivering business software change
